The Australian Racing Drivers’ Club is proud to introduce for 2025 the ARDC Member Honours, an initiative designed to formally acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding individuals and moments that contribute to the ongoing success and spirit of our motorsport community.
These awards recognise dedication, excellence, and the shared passion that defines the ARDC and Sydney Motorsport Park. From officials and emerging talent, to unforgettable achievements and lifetime contributions, the ARDC Club Awards are a celebration of those who help shape our Club’s legacy.
Members who have made outstanding contributions to motorsport or the broader community will be supported by The Club for formal honours and awards, including the Order of Australia, Motorsport Australia and Motorcycle Australia awards, Hall of Fame inductions, and other notable recognitions.
All nominations for Life Membership will be carefully considered by the ARDC Board, and announced at the close of the calendar year.
AWARD CATEGORIES OPEN FOR SUBMISSION:
Life Membership of the ARDC
Life Membership is the Club’s highest honour, reserved for those who have made extraordinary and sustained contributions to the ARDC.
Nominations for Life Membership should ideally be submitted no later than the December Board meeting.
Each nomination must detail the nominee’s significant and lasting contributions to the ARDC, clearly articulating why they are deserving of this distinguished recognition.
Australian Special Recognition Awards – Members Making a Difference
The ARDC wishes to acknowledge our Members who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, service, or contribution to motorsport and beyond.
The Club will assist those deserving to be formally recognised, whether through long-standing involvement, significant milestones, or impactful initiatives, to be put forward for awards such as:
– The Order of Australia
– Motorsport Australia Awards
– Motorcycle Australia Awards (ie NSW, QLD, MA Official of the Year)
– Motorsport Hall of Fame
– Other recognised scholarships, awards and recognitions
Nomination Criteria: Life Member and Special Recognition
To be eligible for nomination for an Award the nominee must satisfy the following criteria:
- Must be or have been an ARDC Member, and
- Made a significant contribution:
a. In any capacity, for example as an engineer, a competitor, official, volunteer,
administrator
b. Any area/discipline of Motorsport covered by the ARDC Constitution (Section 3 Objects)
c. To the criteria of the award for which they are nominating (i.e. Australia Day Awards) - The nomination is approved by a minimum of 75% of the Board of the ARDC

Nominations for LIFE MEMBERSHIP and SPECIAL RECOGNITION Awards will open for submission submitted via the following methods from July 2025.

Official of the Year, Officials Awards
Each year, the Club selects and honours our ARDC officials who exemplify professionalism, reliability, and an unwavering dedication to the safe and successful delivery of our events. This award is a token of appreciation for the vital role our officials play across the sport.
ARDC Club Champions
Each year, the ARDC will acknowledge the top performers across its competitive categories. Club Champions are selected based on points collected at ARDC Rounds of the motorsport Australia New South Wales Motorsport Championship.
