ARDC Women & Wheels

At The ARDC, we’re passionate about increasing female participation in motorsport. The Women in Wheels events are just the beginning of a series of exciting initiatives we have planned at Sydney Motorsport Park to inspire and support more women in the sport”
– Natalie Turmine, ARDC President.

Accelerating Women in Motorsport!

Whether you’re a competitor pushing the limits on track, a dedicated member of the race crew, or a passionate spectator, female involvement in motorsport is on the rise. However, women still make up a smaller percentage of participants, and the Australian Racing Drivers’ Club (ARDC) is committed to changing that!

Our Women & Wheels events are an exclusive women’s motorsport experience designed to introduce women of all ages and backgrounds – especially those who have never considered motorsport before – to the excitement of motor racing.

Showcase: Australian Drift Club

Since 2022, our friends at the Australian Drift Club have been leading the charge to improve female representation in motorsport through their Women in Drifting (WID) program. So far, they’ve hosted six dedicated events, welcoming more than 200 women to the drift paddock. Each session draws around 40 participants, ranging from complete beginners to experienced drivers, with some now competing and many becoming regulars at AusDC’s public drift days.

Beyond the track, the WID program has also featured guest speakers from across the motorsport industry, helping to foster a strong sense of community and inspire the next wave of female talent.

The ARDC is proud to support this important initiative, and we look forward to taking part in upcoming Women in Drifting events. It’s a great opportunity to work together and promote greater female inclusion across all areas of motorsport.

Showcase: Yeah The Girls All-Female Drift Showcase at WTAC 2025

World Time Attack Challenge 2025 featured an all-female drift showcase, with some of the most skilled female drifters from Australia and overseas taking to the full-track configuration and demonstrating their talent, control, and passion for the sport. This showcase is a celebration of women in motorsport and a chance to shine a well-deserved spotlight on the rising female presence in drifting. Super stuff!
