SMSP Venue Terms and Conditions

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
As of September 2025

The following conditions of entry apply to all persons entering Sydney Motorsport Park (“SMSP”) unless written consent has been granted from the Australian Racing Drivers’ Club (“ARDC”). These conditions apply, without limitation, to visitors, spectators, event participants, and members of the ARDC (“Members”). Event specific conditions may also apply.

DISCLAIMER

EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY, RELEASE AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

MOTOR SPORT IS DANGEROUS

In exchange for being able to attend or participate in the event, you agree, to the extent permitted by your rights under law:

  1. to release the ARDC, Motorsport Australia (MA, previously “CAMS”), Australian Motor Sport Commission Ltd, promoters, sponsor organisations, land owners and lessees, organisers of the event, their respective servants, officials, representatives and agents (collectively, the “Associated Entities”) from all liability for your death, personal injury (including burns), psychological trauma, loss or damage (including property damage) (“harm”) howsoever arising from your participation in or attendance at the event, except to the extent prohibited by law;
  2. that the Associated Entities do not make any warranty, implied or express, that the event services will be provided with due care and skill or that any materials provided in connection with the services will be fit for the purpose for which they are supplied; and to attend or participate in the event at your own risk.

You acknowledge that:

  • the risks associated with attending or participating in the event include the risk that you may suffer harm as a result of:
    • motor vehicles (or parts of them) colliding with other motor vehicles, persons or property;
    • acts of violence and other harmful acts (whether intentional or inadvertent) committed by persons attending or participating in the event; and
    • the failure or unsuitability of facilities (including grand-stands, fences and guard rails) to ensure the safety of persons or property at the event.
  • motor sport is dangerous and that accidents causing harm can and do happen and may happen to you.

You accept the conditions of, and acknowledge the risks arising from, attending or participating in the event and being provided with the event services by the Associated Entities.

In addition, if you are a Member, you agree and acknowledge that you accept these conditions and acknowledge these risks in exchange for being able to attend or participate in any event, and as a condition of issue of your ARDC Membership Card.

GENERAL RISK WARNING

  • You agree and acknowledge that, as per the Civil Liabilities Act 2002 (NSW), it is clearly noted that:
    • activities at SMSP are of a sporting nature and carry inherent risks of injury; and
    • general admission crowds and general access may cause recreational risk.
  • You agree and acknowledge that:
    • by entering SMSP you acknowledge the risks and in the event you sustain a personal injury, loss or damage to property, you agree to absolve the Associated Entities and our staff from any liability whatsoever for any injury or loss while at SMSP;
    • to ensure the safety of patrons and staff, some activities may enforce an age, height, weight limit and/or clothing requirements; and
    • you have assessed your own risk prior to entry to the Site.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  • Management reserves the right to request valid ID at the entry to the venue or while you are within the venue.
  • Management reserves the right to inspect and / or search bags, motor vehicles and motorcycles brought into or out of the venue. This may require your assistance.
  • Persons gaining unauthorised access to SMSP will be evicted and may be liable for prosecution.
  • Persons who use offensive or threatening language, are violent or disorderly, cause a disturbance, behave in an illegal or offensive manner, or refuse to comply with requests made by SMSP staff will be evicted.
  • Alcohol cannot be brought into or taken from SMSP.
  • Smoking on the premises is not permitted in any pit and paddock areas, seated, thoroughfare and concourse areas and buildings, balconies and pit roof.
  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult or guardian at all times.
  • Persons who throw articles or gain unauthorised entry onto the circuit will be evicted and may be liable for prosecution.
  • Persons bringing personal items into SMSP do so at their own risk and the Associated Entities will not be held responsible for any damages to, loss or theft of personal property.
  • Any unauthorised commercial activity including ticket selling, soliciting, customer surveying, or attaching advertisements is not permitted.
  • Any unauthorised capturing of images for commercial use or broadcast in any format is not permitted.
  • Use of rope, bunting, poles, temporary fencing, tarpaulin, paint, or any other materials to create segregated or reserved viewing areas is strictly prohibited. Management may remove all such materials at their discretion (including at the conclusion of racing on each day of the Event). Any property left unattended at the conclusion of each day will be deemed abandoned and forfeited to SMSP.
  • You must not enter any tenancies at SMSP without the permission of the tenant.

CCTV AND RECORDING

  • CCTV is in use at SMSP. Facial recognition, number plate recognition, video and audio recording technology may be in use at this venue. Images, audio and data shared with Police for crime prevention and safety purposes. Management can use recordings as required by law or a legal request, and to protect the rights and property of the Associated Entities.
  • Images, audio recordings, or videos may be taken of you at SMSP without your knowledge. You may appear in any media, including as part of the Associated Entities’ promotional activities.

REFUSAL OF ENTRY

  • For the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all persons, management reserves the right to:
    • Refuse entry to any persons considered to be intoxicated and/or disorderly;
    • Refuse entry to any unauthorised persons;
    • Refuse entry to persons who attempt to bring any restricted or prohibited items into SMSP.

RESTRICTED / PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • The following items may not be brought into SMSP:
    • Glass or breakable containers;
    • Alcoholic beverages;
    • Illicit drugs;
    • Flares, fireworks, laser pointers, knives, firearms, dangerous weapons or any device that has the potential to cause injury or public nuisance;
    • Air horns;
    • Gas BBQ’s, gas bottles or any naked flames;
    • Spray cans or compressed air canisters;
    • All animals except guiding or assistance animals;
    • Skateboards and roller blades;
    • Recording devices for commercial purposes;
    • Platforms, structures or materials to be used to erect platforms or other viewing platforms;
    • Commercial, political or offensive clothing, banners, logos or signage;
    • Outlaw motorcycle or crime gang colours;
    • Drones;
    • Any items or goods for public sale.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

  • Visitors are permitted to bring the following items into SMSP:
    • Unbranded home-packed food such as sandwiches, fruit, biscuits, etc. for individual consumption;
    • Unopened non-alcoholic beverages for individual consumption.
  • Visitors are not permitted to bring food or beverage showing commercial packaging/branding to SMSP.

NO SMOKING POLICY

  • For the comfort of all within SMSP, a no-smoking policy is in place for all pit and paddock areas, seated, thoroughfare and concourse areas and buildings balconies and pit roof. Smoking is only permissible in designated smoking areas.

LIQUOR LICENSING

  • All persons entering SMSP are advised that:
    • They are entering licensed premises;
    • Intoxicated persons will not be permitted to enter;
    • Persons in possession of liquor will not be permitted to enter;
    • Checking procedures, including bag checks, will apply to prevent persons possessing liquor from entering;
    • Intoxicated persons will be removed from the premises;
    • It is an offence for minors to purchase and consume liquor;
    • It is an offence to purchase liquor for (or supply liquor to) minors;
    • Persons supplying liquor to minors will be reported to the Police and penalties apply under the Liquor Act 2007.
    • Persons under 25 years of age may need to show valid ID as proof of age for purchase and consumption of liquor.

RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL

  • SMSP supports the responsible service of alcohol.

These conditions are updated from time to time. You should check this page for updated versions. When you enter SMSP after any update, you accept the update.

You acknowledge that:

  • the risks associated with attending or participating in the event include the risk that you may suffer harm as a result of:

Persons gaining unauthorised access to Sydney Motorsport Park will be evicted and may be liable for prosecution.

Alcohol cannot be brought into or taken from Sydney Motorsport Park.

Persons consent to the recording of their image or likeness including audio and visual.
Persons bringing personal items into Sydney Motorsport Park do so at their own risk and Sydney Motorsport Park will not be held responsible for any damages to, loss or theft of personal property.
Any unauthorised commercial activity including ticket selling, soliciting, customer surveying, or attaching advertisements is not permitted.
Any unauthorised capturing of images for commercial use or broadcast in any format is not permitted.

  • Persons are not permitted to bring packaged or commercial branded food and beverage products to Sydney Motorsport Park.

Sydney Motorsport Park supports the responsible service of alcohol.

FILMING

The filming of events at SMSP for personal use is allowed with the following restrictions:

  1. Live streaming of events and people at SMSP to any platform including but not limited to web, social media and television broadcast without the written authorisation of the ARDC is strictly prohibited.
  2. The filming of individuals at SMSP requires the authorisation of that individual before it can be used in any way. Please refer to our PRIVACY POLICY.
  3. The posting to online platforms of events (and people pending Section 1.2) at SMSP for personal use is allowed post-event. For any commercial arrangements, see ardc.com.au/media.
  4. Motorsport is dangerous, and accidents can and do occur. Any incident captured on camera within the venue will not be published on any medium out of respect for the privacy of others. Footage may be required by the relevant authorities.

CCTV

CCTV is in use at SMSP. Facial recognition, Number plate recognition and audio recording technology may be in use at this venue. Images and data shared with Police for crime prevention and safety purposes.


SPECIFIC CONDITIONS PERTAINING TO MEMBERS
ACCESS TO EVENTS AT SYDNEY MOTORSPORT PARK.
MOTORSPORT IS DANGEROUS
1. Motorsport is dangerous – specific conditions pertaining to Members access to events at Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek.
a) Member acknowledges that their ARDC Membership Card provides them with access to Sydney Motorsport Park to participate and/or spectate.
b) In exchange for being able to attend any event or events, (and as a condition of issue of the ARDC Membership Card), the Member agrees:
i) To release Motorsport Australia (MA, formerly “CAMS”) and the
Australian Motor Sport Commission Ltd., promoters, sponsor organisations, land
owners and lessees, organisers of the events, their respective servants, officials,
representatives and agents (collectively the “Associated Entities”) from all liability
for your death, personal injury (including burns), psychological trauma, loss or
damage (including property damage), (“harm”) howsoever arising from your
attendance at any event, except to the extent prohibited by law.
ii) That MA and the Associated Entities do not make any warranty, implied or
express, that the event services will be provided with due care and skill or that any
materials provided in connection with the services will be fit for the purpose for
which they are supplied; and to attend or participate in the event at your own risk
iii) You acknowledge that the risks associated with attending the event include the risk that you may suffer harm as a result of motor vehicles (or parts of them) colliding with other motor vehicles, person or property, acts of violence or other harmful acts (whether intentional or inadvertent) committed by persons attending the event, and the failure or unsuitability of facilities (including grand stands, fences, and guard rails) to ensure the safety or persons or property at the event.
iv) Motor sport is dangerous and that accidents causing harm can and do happen and may happen to you.
You accept the conditions of, and acknowledge the risks arising from, attending the event and  being provided with the event services by MA and the Associated Entitles.


GENERAL RISK WARNING
Under CIVIL LIABILITIES ACT 2002; General Admission Crowds may cause Recreational Risks. Patrons must assess their own risk on entry.
