Call for Registrations: Special Olympics and Australia Dream Ride at MotorWorld Sydney
Special Olympics representatives at the recent launch of MWS by NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism & Major Events and Minister for Sport, Stuart Ayres
A special feature of MotorWorld Sydney’s four-day motoring festival to be held at Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek, will be the Dream Ride Experience to raise funds for Special Olympics Australia (SOA) on Sunday, 4 December.
Dream Ride began in the USA sixteen years ago. Dream Ride USA attracts thousands of people to its major event held each year in Connecticut. A special highlight is a motorbike rally with thousands of riders starting from satellite locations in Canada and the Eastern Seaboard of the USA.
MotorWorld Sydney has partnered with Special Olympics Australia to bring the inaugural Dream Ride Experience to Sydney. Five luxury car convoys and three motorcycle convoys will travel to Sydney Motorsport Park as part of Dream Ride Experience 2016. Each of the five luxury car convoys will start from an iconic Sydney location. 1,000 motorbikes will be taking part in rallies from three different regional locations (Bathurst, Canberra & Newcastle). Motorcyclists will ride in convoy to Sydney Motorsport Park and join the luxury car convoys to complete a lap of honour with their passengers – Special Olympics athletes and a selected group of people living with an intellectual disability enjoying a ride in a car of their dreams – Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Mustang or Maserati.
MotorWorld Sydney joins Special Olympics Australia in inviting you to be part of this special event, engaging people with a mental disability in MotorWorld Sydney activities. Participants can register their interest to participate in Dream Ride Australia 2016 at www.dreamride.com.au. Places are strictly limited.
